MOV : പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യന്മാർ എലീശയോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ പാർക്കുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥലം ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തീരെ ഇടുക്കമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നീ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.
KJV : And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.

ERVEN : One of the officers of the king of Aram said, "My lord and king, not one of us is a spy. Elisha, the prophet from Israel, can tell the king of Israel many secret things— even the words that you speak in your bedroom!"

KJV : And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
YLT : And the servant of the man of God riseth early, and goeth out, and lo, a force is surrounding the city, and horse and chariot, and his young man saith unto him, `Alas! my lord, how do we do?`

ESV : When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"
ERVEN : Elisha's servant got up early that morning. When he went outside, he saw an army with horses and chariots all around the city. The servant said to Elisha, "Oh, my master, what can we do?"

ERVEN : Elisha said, "Don't be afraid. The army that fights for us is larger than the army that fights for Aram."

MOV : പിന്നെ എലീശാ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു: യഹോവേ, ഇവൻ കാണത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഇവന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യഹോവ ബാല്യക്കാരന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു; എലീശയുടെ ചുറ്റും അഗ്നിമയമായ കുതിരകളും രഥങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടു മല നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു അവൻ കണ്ടു.
KJV : And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
YLT : And Elisha prayeth, and saith, `Jehovah, open, I pray Thee, his eyes, and he doth see;` and Jehovah openeth the eyes of the young man, and he seeth, and lo, the hill is full of horses and chariots of fire, round about Elisha.

ESV : Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see." So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
ERVEN : Then Elisha prayed and said, "Lord, I ask you, open my servant's eyes so that he can see." The Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and the servant saw the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire. They were all around Elisha.

KJV : And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
YLT : And they come down unto it, and Elisha prayeth unto Jehovah, and saith, `Smite, I pray Thee, this nation with blindness;` and He smiteth them with blindness, according to the word of Elisha.

RSV : And when the Syrians came down against him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, "Strike this people, I pray thee, with blindness." So he struck them with blindness in accordance with the prayer of Elisha.

ESV : And when the Syrians came down against him, Elisha prayed to the LORD and said, "Please strike this people with blindness." So he struck them with blindness in accordance with the prayer of Elisha.
ERVEN : These horses and chariots of fire came down to Elisha. He prayed to the Lord and said, "I pray that you will cause these people to become blind." Then the Lord did what Elisha asked. He caused the Aramean army to become blind.
